See the Chameleon Options Panel in Action

A lot of you have been asking about our control panel. I’ve talked a lot about what it can do in general terms, but obviously if you’re going to buy something, you’d rather see it in action!

Below I’ve recorded 3 videos (Just under 5 minutes each) showing the control panel in action on a test site. You’ll get to see everything it can do, and how simple it all is.

Sorry in advance for having to split it in 3, that’s the only downside to using Screenr (though it will be an advantage at other times, forcing everything to be kept to the point!)

So, what do you think?

And just to give you a quick update on what all is happening next:

  • Support documents for the website (Will focus on normal users first, and then proper documents for developers who want to make their own themes)
  • Getting started videos (Showing you how quick the installation and setup is!)
  • Working on MyBiz, our next theme. If you buy a theme from us before we release it in a fortnight, then you’ll get it for free!

Plenty to keep us busy, and thanks again to everyone who has joined us so far!

    Really nice videos. The theme looks easy to use for beginners as well as advanced users. I like the option panel. It has many cool sections. Thanks for the video, with these video, we can know more (much) about the PliablePress themes.

      Thanks! Yep, they were definitely an essential so that I can start showing yous just what all we’ve built in here (There’s a lot more than the theme pages on the site currently show, urgently need to fix that!)

    These are really helpful videos. You should consider linking to these from your theme pages as it will help show off what you can actually do with all the themes…the demos look amazing, but these videos really show what it is all about.

      You’re totally right AJ. The theme pages need a full reworking (Its number 1 on today’s todo list)

      Even simple things like showing the color schemes they come in really ought to be there by now!

      Ah that’s cool! If you ever do get the chance to try it out (or even just based on what you’ve seen in the videos!), I’d love to hear your thoughts on it compared to the Woo framework!

    It’s very usefull to see and know what to expect from your theme.
    The only bad thing (exept the use of 3 video instead of one) is that, for me, a non natal english speaker, it’s spoken a bite too fast. Exept that, very cool and a great job done here.

      Thanks for the feedback Mark. I think you’re totally right. This was the first video I made, and though I did plenty of takes to get it right, it can definitely be improved on!

      Hopefully I’ll get a little better with practice, so it will definitely be on my list to redo these videos into (one!) better one that should be easier to follow!

      I agree with Mark. The videos are cool and definitely clear. But it’s verrrry hard to follow with your speaking pace!

    @Michael: Just wanted to let you know that I found a bug in the Backdrop theme with Firefox 3.6.8 on a PC.

    The dropdown menu does not work properly.
