At long last, we’re live! This will be a short post because, well, there’s still a tonne to be done!
The important parts (i.e. the themes!) are all working though! Make sure you check out our themes (or better yet, buy one and then check out our soon-to-be-awesome forum!).
Over the next few hours (And days!), I’ll be fleshing out more and more of the site. We’ll be talking here about our plans for the site, looking to hear your thoughts on what we should do next, and of course, sharing previews of what we’re already working on (Yeah, we’ve already started our next theme!)
But for the minute, we’d love to hear what you think of everything! So much work has gone into this, and we’re really proud of it, but of course we’re biased! What do you think? Have we done well? (And if we have, do feel free to share with your friends!)
And last of all, if you spot any bugs, let us know and we’ll get them squashed asap!
Hopefully this will be the start of something big! We may be live now, but the work isn’t stopping for a second. There’s plenty in store and I hope you’re going to be a part of it!

Congrats on your launch! Just a question – on the signup page there’s an option for a “Test” membership – lifetime, for only $3.00.
Just wondering if you meant to take that off prior to launch, I’d hate to see your hardwork take advantage of.
Themes look phenomenal, how many new themes do you hope to put out over the next year? (I’m debating the Plus+ account)
Thanks!

Hi Halen,
Well spotted on the “Test” thing! I added that a few days ago to make sure everything was working properly, meant to take it away before now though (It’s gone now!). Thanks for letting me know about it, it didn’t offer any of the themes, but definitely shouldn’t be there on people!
So glad you like the designs though! I’d say that we should launch 6 – 12 themes over the year. It would depend a fair bit on how well everything goes (e.g. if it goes great, then it could well be more than 12!)
If there’s anything at all you’d like to ask to help with the decision, feel free to!

Glad to be of service! I’m sure this entire project has been daunting
Is there a demo environment of the admin side available? The options within the framework are my chief interest. If not screenshots would be great.
Thanks again for all your hardwork.

Haha, it really has! So much still to be done!
I’m going to record a video of the admin options, but things are chaos at the minute so it could be a few hours before I have that up. Let me take the screenshots now and send you them (I’ll post the link here in about 5 minutes!)
(Thanks for your patience with me on this!)

Hey again Halen!
I’ve got the screenshots ready now, you can download them here: http://www.pliablepress.com/chameleon-options.zip
Will have a much nicer demo later on, but for now, that should show you the full panel at least! Hope you like it!

Fantastic! I have to say I can’t wait to get my hands dirty with the framework
I’m already sold but I figured that I would ask none the less – Do you have an documentation to go along with creating your own themes using chameleon? If not – maybe a post in the forums can be put on the to-do list?
Thanks again Michael

That’s awesome Halen!
Sorry though, documentation for developers is on the list. I really underestimated how long it would take to write all of the content that this launch needs (My other site, ProBlogDesign.com *still* doesn’t have a post about this being live!)
I’m going to be documenting the theme for regular users first, but as soon as that’s done, I’ll be putting together everything for developers! (Which should be interesting because I think that once I start writing about how to use it, I’m going to find more ways to make things simpler!)
All of themes here are built on the framework though (And everything is well commented), so if you want to start playing with it now, you could try opening up any theme and taking a look at how its made? (The chameleon.php and chameleon-options.php files you might see are to do with the control panel and customizing it for that theme. Feel free to post in the forum if you want to know more about them now, but otherwise, the functions.php does basically everything!)

And there you have it! Hopefully your first Plus+ account subscriber
Just something I noticed – On most pages the PliablePress logo doesn’t function as a homepage link, as it does on the homepage. And Within the ‘Logged in’ area of the site – the Creative-Soul-Minimal download link is broken. (But I managed to suss out what it should be and downloaded it).
I plan on putting Oracle or Minimal into effect today/ Tomorrow.
(what are you using for the member area of this site? Is it a plugin or custom?)

Thank you!! You were number 2, another person bought a Plus+ package within about 2 hours but I’ve yet to meet them!
Really hope you like the themes! I’d love to see it in action once you have it up!
And thank you for letting me know about the download link error! That was only happening in the Plus+ package so I’d never have spotted it otherwise, thank you!
(The system we’re using for the membership area is called aMember, you can see more about it here: http://www.amember.com/p/ . It does everything I need so can’t complain, but they could definitely do with hiring a designer, you should see the admin panel! )

Worth the wait, Michael! Classy, easy to use site. All is clear. Self-promotion is suave and never obnoxious. Very clean copy — I *hate* needless typos and spelling errors ; makes me wonder what’s off in the code . I’ve seen far bigger outfits take more time and do far less than you’ve done here!!
I think you may have repeated yourself. On the main page for the Cham. framework, the “mission control” lines at the top reappear at the bottom, and the read more… leads to the same statements! P.S. This isn’t a typo!!!!!

Thanks Robert! I’m really pleased you like it all! We finished up this site’s design and coding a month or two ago so it’s really great to finally have it live and let people at it!
Good catch on the Chameleon repetition though! I’ve taken out that lower section now, thanks again!

It seems everything that I was concerned was already answered and still waiting for new things to come. Another Thesis competitor
Just another concern: How fast Chameleon is? I love speed as fast loading blog will keep our readers stay

But Chameleon is definitely nippy! I don’t have any benchmark tests yet, but you’re welcome to try it out yourself at http://pliablepress.com/demo/chameleon/

I have several questions as pre-sale concerns that needs to be answered:
- All themes on pliablepress like creative, aracle, backdrop…are childtheme of Chameleon framework?
- When ordering this launching time, all themes are included or I have to buy each of them with different prices?
- how about chameleon 101 guide like Genesis, Thesis….that helps us to build up our own child theme
- Why don’t you integrate PayPal as a payment option. Credit Card is quite risky for buyer and moneybooker is not used widely.
Thanks

Sorry Tinh, your comment was trapped in my spam filter there
Let me answer the questions now though!
- Yep, they’re all child themes of Chameleon.
- If you buy Plus+, you get all of the themes. If you buy a standard theme, you’ll get it and Chameleon.
- On its way! And hopefully you’ll be pleased with how simple it is to do
- PayPal is in there. At the time of your comment it was poorly labelled, but now it’s the top option (“Credit Card / Debit Card / PayPal”)
Sorry again about the filter!

Hello Micheal,
I had been very anxiously awaiting the launch of PliablePress and Chameleon. I really liked the designs and features of the themes. I have also written a post in my blog to promote Pliablepress. I am pretty much sure Pliablepress will be a grand success. Thanks for giving us such beautiful themes

Will wait for your video for admin options..

It is my concern too

Hi Krunal,
I’m not entirely sure how many we will launch each month. It will depend somewhat on how well things go (They’re going well so far, so it’s a good sign!) and also on how much time we spend on improving the current themes (Especially the framework, there’s a lot we want to do with that!)
Over the course of a year though, I’d hope that we’ll launch at least 6-12 more themes, and anyone who buys Plus+ will get all of those!
I’m recording the admin options videos right now (Actually finished the first one, but it seems to have frozen as I uploaded it!)

Wow – what a fantastic theme. I can’t recommend Michael’s team enough. They really helped me out. They are responsive and went above and beyond in helping me understand SEO. Michael even gave me a quick SEO tutorial.
The console is easy to use, intuitive and feature-rich.
I am looking forward to working with Michael and his team as they add more features and functionality.
Great job!!!
